Video Management: Regenerating & Reprocessing Content
Sometimes you need a fresh start with a video. Maybe the transcript picked up errors, a stuck upload corrupted things, or you just want to redo everything from scratch. Here’s how.
What “Regenerate All Content” Does
Section titled “What “Regenerate All Content” Does”This feature completely reprocesses your video. It:
- Re-transcribes the audio from scratch
- Regenerates all blog posts, social media content, clips, chapters, tags, descriptions, and summaries
- Resets everything back to a clean, freshly-processed state
Think of it as a full reset for that specific video. The video file itself stays the same and only the generated content gets redone.
How to Regenerate
Section titled “How to Regenerate”- Go to the video you want to reset on your dashboard
- Click into the video to open the video detail page
- In the left sidebar, look for Admin
- Under Admin, click Settings
- Click Regenerate All Content
- Confirm when prompted
Processing will start again just like when you first uploaded. You’ll see the status go through processing and generating, and fresh content will appear once it’s done.
What It Costs
Section titled “What It Costs”Regenerating content does not use any additional minutes from your plan. The minutes were already counted when you first uploaded the video. You can regenerate as many times as you need at no extra cost.
When to Use It
Section titled “When to Use It”- Transcript has too many errors to fix manually: Sometimes it’s faster to regenerate than to fix dozens of words one by one.
- Video got stuck during initial processing: If your content came out incomplete or corrupted, a regeneration usually fixes it.
- You changed your language or vocabulary settings: Regenerating picks up the new settings and produces a cleaner transcript.
- Something just looks off: Missing chapters, garbled blog posts, or empty social content can sometimes be fixed with a fresh regeneration.
When NOT to Use It
Section titled “When NOT to Use It”If you’ve made manual edits you want to keep, don’t regenerate. This includes:
- Transcript text you’ve hand-edited (fixed names, removed filler words, etc.)
- Blog posts you’ve rewritten or customized
- Clips you’ve carefully configured with specific settings
- Social media posts you’ve tailored
All of these get wiped and replaced with fresh AI-generated content.
If you only need to fix a few words in the transcript, use the transcript editor instead. You can click directly on words in the transcript to edit them, or use Find and Replace to fix recurring terms (like a misspelled brand name) across the entire transcript at once.
After Regenerating
Section titled “After Regenerating”- All content will be brand new, check the transcript, blog posts, clips, and social content to make sure everything looks good.
- Any clips you previously created from this video will be reset. You’ll need to create new clips.
- Previously rendered/downloaded clips are still on your computer, they won’t be deleted from your downloads folder.
